Hong Kong to Ho Chi Mihn

Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh

11 days / 10 nights - Star Pride Ship

Hong Kong’s flamboyant energy launches you on this unforgettable journey of contrasts. Vietnam is a kaleidoscope of impressions, and on your private yacht, you’ll be privy to patterns you would miss traveling on a larger ship. Azure, cerulean, cyan, jade, celadon, malachite… the colors of Halong Bay and its limestone karsts are mesmerizing. Vestiges of the Cham and Nguyen dynasties live on near Qui Nhon and Nha Trang. As you call on less-visited ports and extend your stay in fascinating places like Da Nang and Hanoi, the charm of this intriguing country grows.

Day 1 – Hong Kong
The iconic skyline of Victoria Harbor comes into sight, red-sailed junks jostling to avoid the path of ubiquitous Star ferries, skyscrapers crowding the shore. Whether you approach by land or by sea, the excitement of Hong Kong is palpable, and it does not disappoint.

Day 2 – At Sea
This is your invitation to a day of indulgence. Treat yourself to a luxurious spa experience. Dine in sumptuous casual style, or wrap yourself in that comfy waffle-weave robe and enjoy your meal in the privacy of your beautiful stateroom. Your delight is our single priority for your day at sea.

Day 3 – Halong Bay, Vietnam
The scenic beauty of Halong Bay is mythical. Literally. It’s said the brilliant archipelago of emerald karst towers was formed when a dragon spat jewels into the sea.

Day 4 – Hanoi/Haiphong, Vietnam
You’ll find few large cruise ships in shallow Haiphong Harbor, a port that gets you closer to Vietnam’s capital of Hanoi than the more-frequented cruise port of Halong Bay. And Hanoi is fully worthy of that extra time.

Day 5 – At Sea
This is your invitation to a day of indulgence. Treat yourself to a luxurious spa experience. Dine in sumptuous casual style, or wrap yourself in that comfy waffle-weave robe and enjoy your meal in the privacy of your beautiful stateroom. Your delight is our single priority for your day at sea.

Day 6 -7 – Da Nang, Vietnam
Nestled at the foot of My Son Mountain lies My Son Sanctuary, home to what was the capital of the Champa Kingdom for most of its existence. Picture the town in its heyday when visitors from another era once gazed at these same sights.

Day 8 – Qui Nhon, Vietnam
An important base for American troops during the Vietnam War, this beautiful beach town has been relatively undiscovered by Western tourists, instead attracting a local crowd of vacationers. As a result, the residents here are more likely to practice their English on you than try to sell their wares.

Day 9 – Nah Trang, Vietnam
Heralded as one of the most beautiful bays in the world, Nha Trang Bay is framed on three sides by picturesque peaks and on the fourth by Yen Island, conveniently situated to shelter the city from the sea. Explore just a short distance from the beach where you’ll find the ancient towers of Po Nagar, still echoing with the voices of the Cham civilization that ruled Vietnam for 10 centuries.

Day 10 – At Sea
This is your invitation to a day of indulgence. Treat yourself to a luxurious spa experience. Dine in sumptuous casual style, or wrap yourself in that comfy waffle-weave robe and enjoy your meal in the privacy of your beautiful stateroom. Your delight is our single priority for your day at sea.

Day 11 – Ho Chi Minh/Saigon
Wind your way up the twisting Saigon River to dock near the city center—not a 2-hour drive away in Phu My where the larger ships must dock. You can also visit the Mekong Delta where floating markets and stilted villages create a timeless portrait of this invincible country.
